Verify a certificate

ClearSource records are confirmed one at a time by certificate number. Enter the number shown on a supplier’s documentation to see its status, scope and validity dates.

Look up a certificate

Enter the full certificate number exactly as it appears on the supplier’s documentation, for example CS-2020-0012. Records are returned one at a time; the registry is not published as a browsable list.

If you do not have a certificate number, ask the supplier for it in writing alongside the certification claim on their invoice. We do not confirm or deny participation without a number.

Why there is no public supplier list

Participant records are deliberately not published as a searchable directory. A bulk list invites automated scraping and lets third parties imply relationships or certification claims that participants never made.

Verification therefore works the way a certificate should: the party making a claim gives you the number, and you confirm that specific record here. A number that returns no record means only that it is not a current ClearSource record — it says nothing about certification under any other scheme.

For FSC or PEFC certificates, verify directly in those schemes’ own registries below, and read how to verify a certification claim before you rely on any document.
